FALCON enables Magnetic Field Cycling (MFC) and Hyperpolarization on benchtop-style NMR spectrometer. Benchtop NMR spectrometer are compact, refrain from using cryogens (saving up to $10,000 a year), and are affordable (10x cheaper than their big brothers). However, they come with an inherent limitation: lower magnetic field and lower field homogeneity. Here, FALCON as an addon steps in. By using hyperpolarization, the sample’s signal can be increased by several orders of magnitude. Consequently, the benchtop NMR’s inherent limitations become more and more neglectable. Additionally, the comact form factor makes it easy to add addons as FALCON.
